The people of Ukwuani clan in particular and Delta State in general, will be in for an 11-day thriller as the area will be playing host to business and fun seekers in the first ever Abaja International Trade/Fun Fair holding in Umukwata Kingdom.
A business tycoon, His Royal Highness Friday Abaja, the Ukwata I of Umukwata Kingdom, is bankrolling the show, which is holding from February 15 – 26, 2022.
The fun and business exhibition show, which has as its theme “Optimizing Local Business Performance for Prospective Global Digital Marketplace”, will be taking place at Km 47, Agbor-Sapele Road, Obioluku, Umukwata Kingdom, Ukwuani LGA.
The 11-day show will feature business lecture, open exhibition, special days,
cultural music and dance, talent hunt, fashion and pageantry, Festival of Food, artifacts display, raffle draw and awards presentation.
It was gathered that participants and exhibitors have started falling over themselves in search of spaces for their products and services which they plan to showcase to the world.
In a chat, the sponsor of the show, HRH Abaja, said the fair was his own little way to show appreciation to his community and Delta State for his modest upbringing. He added that it was part of his mission to bring development to the area by staging such an exhibition close to the grassroot people who lacked the capacity to attend such a show outside their locality.
He expressed optimism that the fair, which would turn to an annual event, would bring economic prosperity not only to his community but the entire Ukwuani and its environs and Delta State.
Abaja disclosed that everything was set for the event, which would see a convergence of celebrated music stars and budding talents displaying what they were made of before mammoth crowds.
